Legal and Compliance

At the heart of our company is integrity. This value informs our approach to Corporate Compliance, which is one key function handled by our Legal and Compliance Department. This department established the Compliance Program for our Company and the centers it manages. Through this interdisciplinary program, policies and procedures are implemented to guide, conduct, minimize risk, and encourage reporting of compliance concerns.  Our compliance program provides a framework for effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable federal and state laws. Company policy and procedure, regulations, as well as the program requirements of health care providers. Some of the components of the program’s scope also include:

  • Billing and Reimbursement
  • Bribery and Gifts
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Fraud detection and prevention
  • Harassment, Discrimination and Inappropriate Conduct
  • HIPAA privacy and security
  • Safety and Health

The legal department also negotiates vendor contracts, manages threatened and pending litigation, and manages insurance programs.
