From 2010 through 2012, Exceptional Living Centers was retained by a client to re-open a vacant 120 bed skilled nursing facility located in Florida. Our team supervised the substantial renovation, licensure, CMS certification, and staffing while exceeding the budgeted census. Following a successful grand opening event with positive response from the community, Exceptional Living Centers returned operations to the client’s wholly owned management company.
In 2010 and 2011, Exceptional Living Centers supervised the renovation and expansion of Vernon Manor Children’s Home. This project doubled the facility’s square footage and included renovations to the existing facility. No residents were displaced as a result of the renovation and expansion.
From 2007 through 2009, a similar project was completed at Walter Lawson Children’s Home. This 15,000 square foot addition occurred to meet new code requirements regarding the number of residents per room. 3,000 square feet were also added to the school and occupational therapy area.
In 2009, Exceptional Living Centers was managing a community in an over bedded market and proposed a plan to negotiate the acquisition and consolidation of a competing facility’s operations located two miles away. Renovation of the newly acquired property and the combination of operations was completed in a six month period. Exceptional Living Centers also handled the closing, de-licensure, and sale of the former building and land. The newly formed community, Exceptional Living Center of Brazil, continues to have occupancy over 95%.
